Our ESOL Team

Agnieszka Kulas

Aga has a wealth of experience teaching ESOL in various settings. She has worked previously for Kirklees College, Bradford College, Direct Training, BEST Training and private language schools, delivering courses in ESOL and Employability. She also has an interest in teaching English to nursery-aged children.
Aga also acts as the lead on internal quality assurance at Learning Partnerships; ensuring that all systems of assessing and examination are carried out to our high standards. As a result of Aga's hard work in this area, Learning Partnerships has achieved Direct Claims Status with our awarding body NOCN. 


- Master Degree in TESOL Studies (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages)

- BA in Teaching English as a Foreign Language

- Level 4 Award in IQA (Internal Quality Assurance)

Anna Pyrkosz

Anna is a language enthusiast. Speaking 5 languages fluently herself, she has a particular interest in the development of language acquisition in bi-lingual children. Having worked in primary education previously, she is well-acquainted with teaching EAL and thoroughly enjoys this line of work. She was also part of the Gypsy Roma and Traveller Education Service which aims to increase attainment and participation in education for children and adults.

Anna has also worked as a translator and has attended Translation and Interpretation conferences across Europe. She was also the Vice-President of the Slavic Studies Council at Lublin University as well as a representative on the Students' Union Committee.

Jamilla Bibi

Jamilla is the administrator for all ESOL projects. She is highly efficient and an indispensible member of the team, ensuring that all paperwork is correctly completed, learners are kept informed about their course, and that classroom resources are prepared for teachers. Jamilla also takes an active role in enrolling learners onto courses and providing information and guidance.     


Carl Banks 

As the project coordinator, Carl ensures the smooth running of delivery across ESOL projects. Carl himself also teaches ESOL and has worked in Europe Teaching English as a Foreign Language.
